About

About our foodbank

Here is an introduction to our project.

Our foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

We are based in Wombwell and have numerous donation drop-off points, including the local Tesco stores. Donations can also be brought to our Foodbank Hub and information regarding money donations can be found here.

To get food parcels, individuals must go through a referral agency (for example, DIAL, Citizens Advice, Humankind, Family Support, Health Visitors, etc) and get a voucher number. The voucher number is needed to pick up the parcel.

We have a dedicated volunteer team who put our parcels together and we can cater to any additional needs, for example; Gluten Free, Halal, Vegetarian, etc.
