It’s that time of year already! Crunchy leaves, misty mornings and Harvest time.
By supporting our food bank this Autumn, it helps us to prepare for what is predicted to be an incredibly busy Winter period. We are expecting to give out more parcels than we did during the Summer, with heating up the home and cooking hot meals being one of the main causes of financial hardship during the cold months. Here’s how you can get involved and support the food bank this Harvest:
- Food donations: There are many ways to donate food, including Amazon Wish List, supermarket shop orders, drop-off points around Barnsley, or even by bringing them directly to our Wombwell warehouse. Please ensure that items are in-date and unopened.
- Monetary donations: If you’d prefer to make a monetary donation, you can do so via cash, cheque, bank transfer, standing order and Gift Aid. We also have a Just Giving page, in which you can make a one-off donation, a monthly donation or set up a fundraising page!
- Harvest Campaign: We’ve created a lighthearted initiative for collecting donations this season. ’20 Days of Harvest’ is a template that can be used to collect up items to donate to our food bank. You can download it here.
