This year, our Summer campaign is all about our trusted front-line van, which goes out every single day making vital deliveries to drop off points around Barnsley.
Our van doesn’t miss a trip, carrying an average of 60 food parcels a day to our spokes- which sometimes means more than one trip. Our volunteer drivers are fantastic, donating their own time to make these much-needed trips. With the rise in demand, we’re giving out significantly more food parcels than ever…an average of double the amount we gave out during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fuel for the Summer showcases the importance of our van, whether it’s the fuel needed to keep it going, or even the upkeep to ensure it is able to travel along Barnsley’s roads safely.
