With Easter just around the corner, here’s a list of all the ways that you can get involved throughout the next month.
Easter donations: We’re looking for donations of ambient food (tins/packets) and Easter treats for our emergency food parcels. Items donated will be used throughout the Spring in what is set to be one of our busiest yet. Easter treats will be added into parcels as an extra addition, because everyone deserves a treat. We have a limited amount of pick-up slots available for this, so if you are a school/business or have a large donation that you need us to pick up, please get in touch as soon as possible via: [email protected]
Please ensure any Easter donations are with us by Monday 18th March so that they make it into the emergency parcels during the Easter period.
Warehouse donations: Where possible, we ask that donations are brought directly to our warehouse. We are located at: Unit 14 Aldham Industrial Estate, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 8HA. Donation drop-off times are between 9:30am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please come in to reception and press the doorbell, someone will assist you from there.
Tesco Food Drives: Our Tesco Food Drives begin this Spring and what better way to kick off Easter than by encouraging donations at your local Tesco store. With the first collection taking place in March, it’s the perfect time to dust off those Easter bunny ears and bring some Spring sunshine with you. This Easter, the food bank will be closed on Friday 29th March and Monday 1st April, reopening on Tuesday 2nd April.
