It’s almost Easter already and the preparations are in full swing here at the food bank. Here’s an update on what’s going on…
- Easter Egg Deliveries: If you would like to donate Easter treats to our food bank, please aim to get them to us by Friday 31st March. This is so that we can start sending them out before the big day! Our hub address is Unit 14 Aldham Industrial Estate, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 8HA and we are open for donation drop-offs between 9:30am-3pm.
- The Biker’s Return: We’re pleased to announce that the Easter Biker Drop returns this year, for the third collection. Bikers from far and wide are encouraged to join the ride, meeting at Speedy’s Snack Bar on 1st April at approx. 11am, then arriving at the Manageress of the food bank’s home at approx. 11:50am. - Activity Packs: We will be sending out activity packs with family food parcels once we get to April half-term. They feature a mixture of activities including reading books, activity books, pencils and cookery utensils.
- Bank Holiday: The food bank hub will be closed on Friday 7th April and Monday 10th April for the Easter bank holiday. We will return as normal on Tuesday 11th April.
