How To Get A Food Parcel

12th January 2021

Barnsley Foodbank Partnership continue to operate as normal as possible throughout the pandemic, providing food parcels to those who find themselves in crisis.

If you are in financial hardship and need a food parcel, you’ll need to go through the Local Welfare Assistance.

If you are affected by Covid-19 and need food, please call Covid Support on 01226 774444.

You can also go through other organisations and charities, depending on your situation. This includes Social Services, Housing Officers, Mental Health Teams, Citizens Advice, Education Welfare Officers, Humankind and Health Visitors.

We work with the agencies so that our volunteers can prepare the food parcels and deliver them to the relevant spoke/pick up point, as discussed with the agent.

If you are due to pick up your parcel, or someone is picking up on your behalf, you will need the voucher number confirmed by the agent.

If you need any more information, you want to become a referral agent, or you are interested in becoming a spoke- please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected] or call 01226 235280.
