We are pleased to announce that Reds Against Hunger is back, in partnership with Barnsley FC Community Trust.
In previous years, Barnsley Foodbank Partnership have worked closely with Barnsley FC and Barnsley FC Community Trust. Collections have been held at home games, bringing both monetary and food donations that have helped the food bank out during difficult periods.
Students will be coming along to the food bank on a monthly basis, helping to create emergency food parcels for those who need them across Barnsley. A donation drive will also be held on Saturday 13th April during Barnsley FC’s match against Reading. For those who would like to donate but can’t attend this match, Barnsley FC Community Trust will also have a donation point in their main hub a week prior to the match.
Barnsley Foodbank Communication Officer, Georgina Arnold said, “It’s amazing to be partnering back up with the Reds again. They have always shown incredible generosity to our food bank and support us in any way they possibly can. The donations we receive from the matches make a huge difference, and by the following week they are out in emergency food parcels for those in crisis across Barnsley. We wish the Reds the best of luck this season and beyond!”
