Christmas Information 2021

We are already planning ahead as we get towards the end of the year. Here’s some key points to be aware of over the festive period at our food bank.

 

Office Opening Times

 

Thursday 23rd December: 9am-4pm

Friday 24th December: 9am-1pm

Monday 27th December: CLOSED

Tuesday 28th December: CLOSED

Wednesday 29th December: CLOSED

Thursday 30th December: 9am-4pm

Friday 31st December: 9am-1pm

Monday 3rd January: CLOSED

Tuesday 4th January: 9am-4pm

 

Donations

 

If you are bringing donations to our warehouse, please ensure that they are in date, unopened and don’t contain alcohol (eg: Christmas puddings). We are open from 9am-3:30pm for donations, but keep in mind the times above if you are planning on fetching anything. If you come to our warehouse, please ring the bell in the reception and wait for someone to assist you- don’t walk directly through the warehouse.

If you are donating ‘Christmas’ themed items like selection boxes, advent calendars, mince pies or biscuit boxes, try to get them to our food bank by 10th December so that we can send them out in food parcels over Christmas.

 

Winter Wellbeing

 

Thanks to monies from Cash for Kids, we are sending out Winter Wellbeing packs alongside food parcels this Winter. They include mugs, hats, gloves and puzzle books.

 

For Referral Agents…

We are still accepting new referral agents over the Christmas period. If you are a community group, school, charity or business that would like to sign up to be a referral agent, please email [email protected] or call 01226 235280. We are not allowing emergency parcels to be picked up from the warehouse, so please book them via our system and allocate them to a pick up point available.

 

Remember…if you need a food parcel, you must go through a referral agent. You can find more information here.
