We can’t believe it’s already November! As we begin the countdown to the festive season, we have lots of donation opportunities coming up at Barnsley Foodbank Partnership.
First of all, the Tesco collection returns on the 18th-20th November in Tesco Stairfoot, Hoyland and Penistone. There are still volunteering opportunities for this too, just email [email protected] for available slots- we’d love to see you there!
If you can’t volunteer, you can also donate items when you are doing your shopping. Just look out for our donation box at the front of the stores and our ‘most needed items’ list as you arrive or on our website.
We have also created a template ‘advent’ challenge, for those wishing to take part this year. Last year we had businesses, schools and many individuals taking part in our Food Bank Advent, or ’24 Days of Food Bank’. It encourages participants to donate one item per day for 24 days, then donate the items to our food bank.
